4th Day in Kalamata

We woke up on a sunny morning. All the teams arrived at school at 8.30 AM. Then we had a small report for Mary about our experience on the previous day’s tour because she, unfortunately, could not take part in it.

Soon we started working on the job, discussing Tuesday’s team tasks. (Handbook, Blogging, E-Twinning)

Meanwhile, the kids are excited gathered in the schoolyard. The designer of the winning logo of the project was awarded in a little ceremony. Konstadina Tsokanou 5th grade student was very happy with her prize, congratulation to her!
As we walked into the lecture hall, we saw that the children were looking forward to their performance. They introduced the birth of Europe, how Europe got its name, which we know from mythology. We really liked the kid’s acting game, as they enjoyed acting, singing, and the perfect designed costumes. All our appreciation for the teachers who prepare them for the performance.

Before the Europe Day Player Contest started, all the children and the teachers with the visitors from England, Poland and Hungary were holding hands and went through the historical timeline and chronicle of European Union, which was assembled from stones in the schoolyard.
We also played an active role in team building. The children quickly and skillfully solved the tasks. In the end, the characteristics of the European Union was written on a white balloon, which we let go to the blue sky as a closing scene. Celebrating Europe Day ended with cheerful music and dance.
Then the work went on… We designed the following mobilities and tasks.

The director and the team of Greek colleagues surprised us with a traditional gastronomic composition.

The day was closed with an official dinner, where the visitor teams received the attendance certificate. We could taste the Greek delicacies again and even danced.
We travel home from Greece with many memories and fun.
