Reducing Plastic

Now in our second-year teaching through global goals changes are an everyday reality for our school. Decisions and actions are part of our life. Returning from Poland everyone thought we should take a step further. Best changes come from within! 

Day of Mediterranean Coast

Our school cited next to the sea, gave us the perfect opportunity to take action as responsible citizens. We organized ourselves by record, separate, declutter and gather all things not needed in a clean environment. Based on the collaborative learning and working as a team, students used critical thinking on a problem based environment in order to make decisions.

Final Day in Zblewo

During the final day of the project participating teachers also had the opportunity to discuss various aspects of Global Citizenship Education, such as Democratic Education. As part of the discussion we examined various teaching and learning methods that we could incorporate in our teaching. Below is the coordinator of our project, Wendy, and the coordinator from the Polish school, Joanna. 

Tree Planting in Zblewo

During the mobility all participating teachers and pupils from the Polish school had the opportunity to participate in a tree planting experience. Caring about our environment is in the heart of all of us and our Erasmus project “Guiding the Development of Responsible Citizens.”

THURSDAY 17 TH OCTOBER 2019

We are now 5 days in Zblewo. Each day we go further into polish way of thinking, understanding more and more that people in Europe have a lot in common. Our beautiful day started with our team deciding in details about common goals and activities of our project. Work goes always first, combined with the excellent polish hospitality.

 

4th Day in Kalamata

We woke up on a sunny morning. All the teams arrived at school at 8.30 AM. Then we had a small report for Mary about our experience on the previous day’s tour because she, unfortunately, could not take part in it.

On this bright sunny morning we headed for a tour around Messenia region. Our first stop was Nestor's Palace.  It was very interesting and the views were also amazing!
